Anisakan, Myanmar, 18 August 2018 — With the presence of Fr. Eusebio Munoz (Delegate of the Rector Major for the Salesian Family) and Fr. Raphael Jayapalan (World delegate for DB Alumni) started the EAO Salesian Family delegate formation in Don Bosco Retreat house (Anisakan – Myanmar). Three days seminar (Aug 18-20) brings together 10 SDB, 3 FMA, one lay mission partner and 10 Don Bosco Past Pupils from most of the 12 EAO provinces together after 2 years (previous formation was held in November 2016).

Aside of the SDB delegates for the Salesian Family also Myanmar FMA sisters and Myanmar Salesian Past Pupils are taking part in the formation, since the Salesian Famimly of the young MYM Viceprovince of Mary Help of Christians is still in the ‘making’. The presence of lay people of religious does produce a creative charismatic dynamics already experience in 2016 formation sessions in Seoul, Cebu and K’Long.

Main focus of the 2018 Salesian Family delegate formation is to follow up of the Action plan 2016-2019, share the good practices and reflect on the ‘rejuvenation process’ of the Salesian Cooperators and Don Bosco Alumni. Also the incoming preparation for the GC28 ‘What kind of Salesian for the young people of today?’ may help the participants to think with the same paradigm ‘What kind of Salesian Family for today’s Youth?’
